Challenge
Vp’s Groundforce team provide shoring and piling equipment to some of the UK’s leading civil engineering and construction companies. Their customers businesses depend on their ability to operate with maximum productivity and they rely on Vp to help them achieve this.
Vp work to robust service level agreements so having the ability to respond quickly and efficiently is essential. They need real-time visibility of their mobile workforce as well as seamless links between their team in the office and the team in the field to ensure operations run smoothly.
In order to maintain a healthy cashflow Vp also need to be able to prove delivery against their SLAs to expedite their billing processes and eliminate unnecessary invoice queries that result in payment delays.

Solution
Vp’s existing processes relied on mobile phone communication with engineers and required signed documentation to be physically returned from sites to the office at the end of each day. Communication was not seamless and responsiveness was low which threatened service level agreements whilst cumbersome administration delayed the invoicing process and ultimately slowed cashflow. Additionally, lost paperwork and admin errors resulted in a high level of invoice queries, which held up the payment process further.
